Alumni Day 2019
Our 62nd Alumni Day was held on May 4, 2019, honoring the classes ending in ‘4 and ‘9.
The keynote
speaker
was Elizabeth Capezuti, PhD, RN, FAAN whose presentation, “Geriatric
Nursing: Past and Present. Influences from Our Own Doris Schwartz”,
resonated with all present for its professional content and the warm
remembrances it brought for those who were students of Dr. Schwartz.
This year’s Distinguished Alumni Awards were presented to Joan E.
Haase ’69 and Ruby Senie’75, each of whom has made
extraordinary contributions in their respective careers as researchers
whose work translates improve patient care.
